Training and Experience:
Dr Rozana Abdul Rahman is a Medical Oncology Consultant at Beacon Hospital, focusing on urological, gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary and pancreatic cancers.
In 2007, she graduated with honours in medicine (MB, BCh, BAO) from Royal College in Ireland (RCSI). She was also awarded membership of the Royal College of Physicians of UK (MRCP UK) in 2011.
In 2019, for her work on Neoadjuvant Therapy for Pancreatic Cancer and Biomaker Study, Dr Rahman was awarded a research based post-graduate medical degree (MD) from University College Dublin. She also received the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Merit Award 2018 for her work on this research.
Dr Rahman completed her training in medical oncology in Ireland and was awarded Certificates of Satisfactory Completion of Specialist Training (CSCST) in Medical Oncology in 2020
Between 2020 and 2021, Dr Rahman carried out a Fellowship with the experimental cancer medicine team (phase I cancer clinical trial) at the Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester, UK. As well as research projects, Dr Rahman authored and co-authored a number of peer-reviewed publications.
In 2022, Dr Rahman have been appointed as a UCD Assistant Clinical Professor for Medical Oncology.
