Dr Charles Gillham

Training:
Charles Gillham graduated from University College London Medical School in 1994 and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2001.
He then undertook an MD at Trinity College, Dublin followed by a 1-year fellowship at the University of Dresden, Germany.
Experience:
Dr Charles Gillham is a Consultant Radiation Oncologist here at Beacon Hospital. He sub-specialises in the treatment of sarcomas, gynaecological, colorectal and haematological malignancies as well as benign thyroid conditions.
He has been a Consultant in the St Luke’s Radiation Oncology Network (SLRON) since 2008 and is a Trinity College associate Clinical Professor.
He has published and presented widely in each of these tumour types and is an active member of Cancer Trials Ireland. He co-founded the Irish Sarcoma Group and is chair of their bi-annual meeting.
Dr Gillham is the Chief Examiner in Radiation Oncology for the Faculty of Radiology and Radiation Oncology, RCSI and runs the annual All Ireland Radiation Oncology Update Meeting.
He was also clinical lead at the SLRON-SJC (2013-2022) and is now Network Director of SLRON.
