Dr Kevin Tempany is a graduate from the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin. He acquired an MSc in Physiology before starting his Ophthalmology Residency initially in Cork Regional Hospital, before moving to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Dublin for four years. Having attained his RCSI fellowship and diploma in Ophthalmology, he spent a further year in St. Vincent’s Hospital before taking on the role of Lecturer in Ophthalmology for the RCSI in the RVEEH.
Dr Tempany has a keen interest in Rapid Access Community Eye Clinics and his sub-specialty areas are seeing Community Optometry and GP referrals into a rapid access eye clinic, managing conditions such as Chalazions; Ocular Foreign Bodies, Glaucoma and the treatment of Wet Macular Degeneration by IVI.
