Training:

Dr Ruairi Fahy graduated from University College Galway in 1988 and completed his SHO training scheme in Mater-St. Vincents Scheme. He received his MRPCI certification in 1991, before completing a residency in University of Nebraska Medical centre, followed by a Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He remained there as an Assistant Professor of Medicine and obtained NIH funding to research acute lung injury and fibrosis. He was conferred a Fellow of the American College of Physicians in 2001.

Experience:

Dr. Fahy is a Consultant Respiratory Physician in Beacon Hospital and a Senior Lecturer at Trinity College Dublin and Consultant Respiratory Physician at St James Hospital.
