Dr Sandra Cummings

Dr Sandra Cummings both qualified as a Speech-Language Therapist and Audiologist, and completed her Master’s Degree in Audiology at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. She completed her Doctorate in Audiology at Nova South Eastern University, Ft Lauderdale, USA. Dr Cummings lectured in Audiology at the University of Pretoria for 12 years and was the Senior Audiologist at the University of Pretoria’s Cochlear Implant program.

Dr Cummings relocating to Ireland in 1998 where she worked at the Mater Hospital and Temple Street Children’s Hospital as a diagnostic Audiologist. Dr Cummings has been practicing as a diagnostic audiologist since 1986 and has extensive experience in Paediatric and Adult diagnostic audiology as well as audio-vestibular assessments (balance) and hearing aids.

Dr Cummings is a past President of the Irish Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists, is a member of the Irish Academy of Audiology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. Dr Sandra Cummings is an Audiology Consultant on Beacon Hospital’s Consultant list. Dr Cummings is regularly asked to give Audiology related talks to GP’s, Physiotherapists and Speech Language Therapists.
