Oncology Liaison Nurse Services

Beacon Hospital has a team of Oncology Liaison Nurses who are here to provide support to our Cancer patients throughout their journey. Our Oncology Liaison Nurses play a pivotal role in meeting the psychological, emotional and information needs of our cancer patients, their families and/or significant others.

The Oncology Liaison Nurses will liaise closely with all clinicians involved in the diagnosis, management, and on going care of patients. They will regularly liaise with other health care professionals involved in the patient’s care within the hospital, with other health care agencies as appropriate and with community services. They will provide all necessary information to the patient and be happy to answer any questions the patient or their family members may have.
